When you use MatterCheck, we may collect: • Scan data: Product label images are processed to extract material information. Images are not permanently stored on our servers after processing. • Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and the display name you provide. • Scan history: A record of the products you have scanned, stored locally on your device and optionally backed up to our secure servers if you enable sync. • Device information: Basic device type and operating system version for compatibility and performance optimization. • Usage analytics: Anonymized data about how features are used to help us improve the app. This data cannot identify you personally.

We use your information to: • Deliver the core scanning and material analysis features of MatterCheck. • Save and sync your scan history across devices when enabled. • Send you updates about MatterCheck launches and product news if you join our waitlist. • Improve our product recognition and material signal accuracy over time using anonymized aggregate data. • Respond to your support requests and questions. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

Scan images are processed and discarded — we do not retain product images. Scan result records are kept until you delete them from your history or delete your account. Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of all personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@ekuty.com.
