Burdn Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing, or using Burdn (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Ekuty LLC ("Ekuty", "we", "our", or "us"), the provider of Burdn. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Burdn is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and are able to form a binding agreement with us. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

You sign in to Burdn using a supported sign-in method (such as Apple, email, or another provider we enable) via our identity provider. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for activity that occurs through your account. Notify us at support@ekuty.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Burdn lets you post under personas rather than your real name. Personas are designed to keep your real identity private from other users. You agree not to use personas to deceive others for harmful purposes, to impersonate a real person or organization, or to evade safety measures, moderation, or a block.

You are responsible for the Burdns, replies, and other content you post. Content you share may be visible to other users of the Service. You retain ownership of your content. You grant Ekuty LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and moderate your content as needed to operate and provide the Service. This license exists so we can run Burdn and ends for new uses when your content is removed, except where retention is described in these Terms or our Privacy Policy.

Burdn is a space for honest, anonymous expression and supportive replies. You agree not to post or do any of the following: • Harassment, bullying, threats, or incitement of violence. • Hate or content that attacks people based on protected characteristics. • Sexual exploitation or any sexual content involving minors. • Illegal content or activity, or content that facilitates it. • Spam, scams, or deceptive or manipulative behavior. • Impersonation of a person or organization. • Any attempt to identify, de-anonymize, dox, track, or expose another user, or to reveal private information about anyone.

To keep the community safe, we may review reported content and, at our discretion, remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, or take other action consistent with these Terms. We may also preserve records, including reports, blocks, and related safety information, where necessary for safety, abuse prevention, or to meet legal obligations.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do, we remove or anonymize your personal account fields where applicable, as described in our Privacy Policy. Certain records — such as safety, report, block, trust, moderation, and abuse-prevention records — may be retained where necessary for safety, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Burdn is not an emergency service and does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or other professional advice. Content on Burdn is shared by other users and should not be relied on as professional guidance. If you or someone else may be in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline in your area right away. Burdn is not a substitute for professional help.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content posted by other users is accurate or appropriate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ekuty LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of Burdn after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
